Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993. She is also the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible for initiating the modern study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and the role of children in witnessing. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers she has received grants from numerous sources and has been awarded several international and national prizes. She has provided policy and research consultations to many agencies and departments across the world. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was director of three divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family as well as Practice Division of the American Psychology-Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
